Transition and Change...all for the greater good!

Over the past few years, our journey has taken us through many changes — from the bittersweet empty nest to shifts in our ministry roles, moving homes, and discovering new ways to connect with God and His people in ways we never imagined possible. Through it all, the most reassuring truth is that God has been right by our side. Even more remarkable, He has gone ahead of us, paving the way forward.
"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged". Deuteronomy 31:8
Our heartfelt prayer during this time is that God’s unwavering faithfulness to us shines brightly. Amidst the uncertainty, discomfort, and even a few struggles we've faced, we've experienced significant growth both personally and spiritually. Our deepest desire is to continue listening to the voice of our Savior amidst the chaos, and to always follow the One who has guided our paths since long before we took our first breath.
Some of you have had a front-row seat to our journey, while others have only caught a glimpse. We are deeply grateful for each of you. Your constant love and prayers have been a much needed source of encouragement as we pursue the calling that God has placed on our hearts. If you haven't heard yet, we are excited to share that we have joined the ministry team at Immanuel Baptist Church (https://weareibc.com/corbin-campus/ ) in Corbin, KY. Scott has accepted the position of Campus Pastor and we truly believe that God has prepared both of us specifically for this moment.

Now, you may be wondering about the future of Hydrate Global Ministries? Rest assured, we will continue our involvement with this ministry as well. In fact, the ministry is growing, and I (Shannon) will be stepping into a more prominent leadership role. Over the past year, we have seen an explosion of opportunities to support and uplift women who are leading and serving in various ministry roles, and this is where my heart truly lies. I have and continue to walk this path personally as a pastor’s wife and love supporting and encouraging others in similar roles. I truly believe in the spiritual and personal well being of our ministry leaders and families. My desire is to provide support and encouragement specifically to pastor's wives, missionary wives and other women leading in ministry.
As you pray would you please join us in praying for these specifics and ask God how He would have you join us in what he has called us to do?
Prayer/Financial Needs:
*Smooth and complete transition to Corbin, KY (we still have a home in Chattanooga we are waiting to sell).
*Pray for Scott as he is joining the ministry team at Immanuel and is supporting our lead pastor in leading our church to reach our community, the next generation and the world. Scott will be caring for the congregation at our main campus as well as mentoring and caring for staff at multiple campuses. He will also continue in a more part time role with Hydrate Global Ministries ministering to pastors and missionaries and their families as opportunities are given.
*Pray for Shannon as she assumes more leadership with Hydrate Global Ministries. Shannon is also completing her first year of school for Biblical Counseling and is already putting into practice much of what she is learning. (Remaining school balance $3,000)
*Pray for Shannon as she prepares to launch a podcast for ministry wives. (Setup cost $350)
*Pray for Shannon as she cares for and counsels women serving in ministry in many locations domestically and around the world. Pray for God to continue to open even more doors of opportunity.
*Pray as Shannon is also preparing to take a team of ladies in the fall to Peru. They will be leading a retreat for missionary wives.
We are currently raising funds for this retreat and ask that you pray and consider giving financially to support this retreat.
Some areas of need are:
-Flights & Lodging for Shannon ($2,400)
-Printing and Binding of teaching materials ($150)
-Printing & Binding of a 30 day encouragement devotional for each retreat attendee ($300)
-We would also like to “bless” our host missionary wife in a special way. I met Krista Hetzel (missionary in Peru) through our church in Chattanooga and God quickly knit our hearts. Krista spends countless hours organizing the event within her country in addition to teaching in a local school, and serving in her local church and community in which God has placed them in Peru right on the Amazon River. (Any amount given will be applied to this special project of encouraging/blessing her in a special way).

*Hydrate Global Ministries is a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible and will help us with educational training, travel to retreat locations, equipment and podcast setup fees and to cover the necessary cost of putting on retreats in another country.
You can donate directly at the link below or by sending a check to Hydrate Global Ministries, PO Box 71, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
