Since our ministry launch a few months ago we have been busy researching and digging into all the details of what it takes to get established as a 501(c)3 non-proft. Shewww...talk about a learning curve yet, God is Good! Everyday we are taking steps forward in obedience and trusting God for the rest.
Many of you, our friends and family, have watched us for years and understand our hearts desire to obey and follow the Lord in complete surrender. This in and of itself does not make practical sense in society but it makes perfect sense to our God, the One in
whom we put our trust.
“Our ways are not His, our thoughts are not His.”
-Isa. 55:7-8.
This is the premise in which we move forward. Thank you for being apart of this journey.
“He who refreshes others, will himself be refreshed”
-Proverbs 11:25.
This past February we had the privilege to attend Missions Impact Week (a week of R&R in the states) which is provided by our home church as a way to support our global partners (missionaries). This was such a great time for us to meet and begin fostering relationships with some of our very own global partners. God has already knit our hearts with a few families, such as the Hetzels serving in Peru. During the stateside conference we were given the unique opportunity to spend some time in prayer with Richard and Krista. From that moment God sparked a friendship that we are trusting God to foster
for years to come. We have stayed in contact since their return to Peru and look forward to the day when we will travel to them to support, love and encourage them in their ministry environment.
Serving at home and abroad is vital. We are diligently praying and asking God to open our eyes and hearts to those in our hometown as well as to those serving throughout the nations. We Believe that our God is limitless and that he can use us to
meet the needs of anyone, any where, anytime as He sees fit. This is why we do what we do.
In April Shannon traveled with a women’s missions team from Georgia to serve and connect with global leaders on the ground in Antigua, Guatemala. What a wonderful time of connection through biblical discipleship training and serving the nationals in their
community. The ladies on the team coordinated a women’s event where we enjoyed loving and serving the women of the community with food, crafts and sharing of testimonies. One of the week's highlights was serving with our niece who has been living in Guatemala with a ministry team for nearly a year! What a joy to see her
serving and seeking the Lord and His direction for her life as a young adult.
It was such an encouragement to hear and observe her and other young adults on the team as they live out their callings with passion and boldness wherever the Lord leads. Investing in the next generation of leaders is an opportunity that has presented itself to Hydrate Global Ministries. God is clearly opening doors in the area of counseling,
discipling and encouraging the next generation of ministry leaders and we are so excited and honored that God would use us in this way.
As you can see and hear, God has been and we know will remain faithful to provide opportunities for ministry. Our hearts desire is to be obedient in every area, in God’s time. We have two future trips planned this summer to Honduras. We will be traveling with our church and partnering with other ministries. God is opening doors and conversations in other possible locations such as Africa, Guatemala, Cuba and
the Dominican Republic. We covet your prayers as we continue to seek and trust God
to provide, lead and direct this ministry for His glory.
